The 2027 Georgia Marble Festival in Jasper, Georgia, has no announced dates. We checked the Pickens County Chamber of Commerce’s festival page, its tourism site VisitPickensGA.com and the Know Pickens community calendar on October 18, 2026, and none of them lists a 2027 date. We will update this page, with a link, when the Chamber posts one.
No 2027 festival dates had been published by the Chamber, its tourism site or Know Pickens as of October 18, 2026. The only official timing statement is that the festival is held the first full weekend of October. (Pickens Chamber, checked Oct 18, 2026)
What the Chamber does say
The only official timing statement is a standing one. The Chamber’s festival page says the festival is held the first full weekend of October (Pickens County Chamber). The New Georgia Encyclopedia says the same: Jasper hosts the festival “during the first full weekend of each October” (New Georgia Encyclopedia).
That rule tells you which part of the calendar to keep loose. It is not a date. Be wary of any site that prints a 2027 date before the Chamber does.
The city has a hand in it too. The Pickens County Progress reported in February 2025 that Jasper City Council approved that year’s event dates, the Marble Festival among them, and “Consideration of Marble Festival Event” was on the City of Jasper council agenda for April 6, 2026. Neither tells you when 2027 dates will appear, but a council agenda is one more place they could surface.
Where the 2027 dates will show up
- The Chamber’s festival page, pickenschamber.com/marble-festival. The Chamber is the organizer, so this is the source to trust.
- VisitPickensGA.com, the Chamber’s tourism site. For 2026 it had a “44th Annual Georgia Marble Festival” page up by March 2, 2026, mentioned the October 3-4 dates in posts by September 10 (Visit Pickens), and published the full stage lineup on October 1.
- The festival’s Facebook page, which the Chamber points to “for more details.”
- The Chamber and Visitor Center by phone, (706) 692-5600. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Pickens County Chamber).
What to expect, going by 2026
Until the Chamber says otherwise, the 2026 festival is the best guide. Treat everything in this list as how it worked in 2026, not as a promise for 2027.
- Two days, Saturday and Sunday, at Lee Newton Park, home of the Pickens County Visitor Center, 500 Veterans Memorial Blvd, Jasper. Hours were 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
- Admission in 2026 was $5 for adults, $3 for children 6 to 12, $3 for veterans and seniors, and free for 5 and under (Know Pickens).
- Free parking at Ingles and Chattahoochee Technical College, with free shuttles running all day.
- The parade on Main Street at 10 a.m. Saturday.
- Quarry tours leaving between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., sold through the Chamber. In 2026 an adult ticket was $20 and included festival admission.
- Two stages, handmade arts and crafts, food vendors, marble and chainsaw sculptors, and a free Kids Zone.
- No pets and no smoking.
The road race is the other open question. It was canceled in 2026 because GDOT bought its finish-line property for the Highway 53 widening, and the race director told the Pickens County Progress its future “remains to be seen.” Don’t plan around a 2027 race until someone announces one. The road race page has the details.

Official pages that are out of date
Several Chamber pages still turn up in search with old information. As of October 18, 2026:
- The parade page still shows October 4, 2025, with a $25 entry fee due Wednesday, October 1, 2025 (Pickens County Chamber). It was not updated for 2026.
- The 5K page still shows the October 5, 2024 race, with an 8 a.m. 5K and a 9 a.m. one-mile, and says nothing about the 2026 cancellation (Pickens County Chamber).
- The Chamber’s admission page returns a 404. Search snippets of it can no longer be checked against the live page.
- The vendor page’s application link still points to a 2025 form (Pickens County Chamber).
- Calendar listings from past years, such as Georgia Magazine‘s page for the October 5-6, 2024 festival, still rank for the festival’s name.
If a page shows any year other than 2027, it is not a 2027 announcement, however high it ranks.
Seeing marble country before the date is out
You don’t need the festival to see the marble. The Georgia Marble Museum shares the Visitor Center building at Lee Newton Park and is open weekdays, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The marble-veneered courthouse and the old jail with its marble turrets are on Main Street in Jasper, and Tate is about 6 miles away by road (our OSRM routing estimate). The quarries themselves open to the public only during the festival, per the Chamber. Start with the Tate marble trail, Georgia marble history or things to do in Jasper.
2026 details as published by the Pickens County Chamber of Commerce; details for 2027 may change.
